LO4: Editing Process
Advert:
In one of the screenshots below it shows how I have put the audio in to a multitrack to create the different layers in the advert, so I can edit them together, overlapping the audio. I also change the tempo of the voice to improve the audio, so the voice in the advert isn't overpowering and puts people off what the advert is actually about. By adding this it means the voice is more appealing and joyful to its target audience making people want to visit the Jazz Cafe. To make sure the audio fades in to one another I turned down the volume to give it a gradual fade into the next audio giving it a professional feel.
The other screenshot shows how I have exported the advert from a WAV file to an MP3, to make the file size smaller so I can successfully add it to my blog.
Jingle:
To make the jingle I imported all the audio which I knew I was going to use into a new multitrack, called jingle. I then made sure that I had the audio in the correct order for how I wanted the jingle to sound. I then added different layers for the different sounds so the tracks which I wanted to be played at the same time, overlapped one another. To make the jingle distinct and stand out so the audience knew that it was the jingle I start the jingle with a loud roar, which relates to the topic of our radio show. I then added a beat in the background of the jingle to make it catchy and appealing for our target audience. Followed by the audio of the voice so the audience knows what the show is called and what to expect within a few seconds of listening to the show. I also changed the pitch of voice so it made it more radio like, making the jingle more professional. All the different layers and the change of pitch is shown in the screenshots below showing what I have done.
Radio show:
These screen shows that before I added the different audio into the multitrack I edited out all the parts which I didn't need, still using Adobe Audition. This meant that it was easier to crop any of the parts I didn't need without having to then cut and delete parts out once the audio was already in the multitrack. After then I imported the audio into the multitrack and put all the edited audio in order from start to finish. I then added in the finished jingle and advert into the WDQ multitrack, where we had put to add them in on the script. I then added background audio to all the part which have talking in to make the audio sound more alive and keep the audience entertained with the show. Then likewise with the jingle and advert I made sure that the audio fades in to one another by turning down the volume, at the end of each clip, to give it a gradual fade into the next audio.
